Hey guys!
I'm sorry it has been so long since I have posted.
I kind of left all of you hanging.
Lately, I've been somewhat busy.
I have worked on a few new pieces but nothing is complete so far.
Right now, I'm breaking from finishing those pieces to create and complete a piece I'm doing for my dad for his birthday/Father's Day, which are close together.
Also, my husband and I have some exciting news.
We are looking into buying our first house!
I can't believe it. I, personally, have never even rented so I feel like I am skipping a step.
But it's exciting, and, so, much of our time will be taken up by this process soon.
However, I will keep working on my art and once I finish more pieces, I will definitely post pictures.
So, just check back every once in a while to see if I have posted any new ones.
Also, I have started creating my Etsy shop to begin selling my art pieces.
It's not 100% complete yet, but I am getting there.
One last thing everyone!
I have started working for Examiner.com as the Little Rock Cats Examiner.
I have just published my first article so go check it out.
To see my profile and read my first article, visit :www.examiner.com/cats-in-little-rock/codie-pope.
Thanks guys! I will post new stuff as soon as I can!
Take care until then.
:)

Second Set of Art... COMPLETE!!!
Yes! It's True!
I have finally completed my second set of art work. This set is of 8x10 canvases rather than the previous set of art sized 6x6 canvases. I believe they turned out rather well. I did get the chance to take the to the Cox Center to see if Ms. Rita could take them, but unfortunately she couldn't take my type of art work at this time. However, she was very helpful in giving me places of possibilities to try taking my art to. So fingers crossed.
Also, below are the pictures of all three. See what you think:

Craft Gossip’s Fork & Talk Spring 2012 Meet-Up
Good evening everyone!!!
I've got a Big update for you all today.
Over the weekend I attended Craft Gossip’s Fork & Talk Spring 2012 Meet-Up held at Trios off of Cantrell Road. The event was put together by Craft Gossip's sewing editor, Anne Weaver, with the help of Craft Gossip editors: Scarlett Burroughs (quilting editor), Denise Felton (needlework editor), and Stacie de Klerk (jewelry making editor). These four Craft Gossip editors (and good buddies) really made the Fork & Talk meet-up entertaining and delightful. I want to personally thank them for putting so much work into making the meet-up what it was.
Between the free craft supplies, getting to meet other creative bloggers, and the fine wine and dining I don't think I could have had any more fun. If any one would like to view the photos taken at the event you can Click Here to be directed to the photos uploaded to flickr.

Update
Hey guys! I hope everyone is having a great Monday.
I have been working on the new direction I'm taking with my art work, and I think it is turning out well. So far I have only gotten the image part of the art pieces finished, but that is also the hard part. Since the hard part is behind me now it's all down hill from here which means hopefully it won't been too much longer until the 8x10 pieces are complete and I am able to post pictures of them. Keep checking back periodically to see if I have completed them.
Also, I just want to remind everyone to follow this link, and click the purple button to give the value of .6 bowls of food for rescued animals for free. I don't know if anyone has heard of iPet Companion; it's a website that allows you to interact and play with shelter cats by watching them through a webcam and controlling their toys digitally. It's really fun. Check it out. Especially if you're bored and have nothing to do at work.

New Direction
A few days ago it hit me...
I know how I can combine my love for cats and my want to help them, with my art pieces.
Make the subjects of my photos shelter cats. Embellish the art pieces with lettering saying "Adopt a Pet". Donate a percentage of my income from each piece that sells. I love it!

Short Post
Stay tuned for my second series of art pieces.
I will be using 8x10 size frames.
I have already gotten started on outlining the photos.
Check back periodically to see how they turned out.
Thanks guys!
